Ricardo Coronado-Arrascue, J.C.D, Judicial Vicar of the Diocese of Colorado Springs. Fr. Thomas Fristchen, F.S.S.P. will act as Deacon. The Sub-Deacon has yet to be announced.

The Mass for the Third Sunday After Easter will be sung from the Graduale.

  1. Wow, this is huge. No way that would have happened under his predecessor.

  2. On the website satellite image, it looks like the parish is located in a private home. Is that right? How many parishioners so far?

  3. Fr. J,

You are correct; this is huge. Bishop Sheridan has been very good to us. In fact, the Diocese is financing the purchase of the property. However, the FSSP will own the property at the end of the loan term.

Despite the satellite image, the Church is the building just to the north, right across from the tennis courts.

We currently average about 150 souls for Sunday Mass, with a Missa Cantata for Major Feasts and special occasions.

Fr. Coronado-Arrascue has been offering the Extraordinary Form in the chapel at the chancery for the last couple of weeks in preparation for the Mass on April 13.

  4. 150? Congratulations! You are doing really well.

  5. Awesome! God willing, we’ll bring that number up to 155 soon! BTW, that’s awful late in the day for a Mass, isn’t it? ;-)

  6. You are correct. I just updated the post to the correct time: 9:00 a.m.
I believe that this is the first approved Solemn High Mass in this diocese in almost 40 years. We are all very excited.
